Jennifer Nelson-Seals, MSHRM / Chief Executive Officer

Mrs. Nelson-Seals is the Chief Executive Officer of The Boulevard. She holds a Masters of Arts in Human Resource Management from Roosevelt University and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Robert Morris College. She has served The Boulevard in various capacities since its' founding as Interfaith House in 1994.

Jeremy F. Stump  / Board President

Jeremy F. Stump is a Principal at the investment firm of Merit Capital Partners in Chicago.  He holds a MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, and a BS in Finance from Butler University.  Jeremy has an extensive history on The Boulevard’s Board of Director, including tenures on the Executive and Development Committees.

Candace Hansford, Esq. / Board Vice President

Candace founded her own law practice, Hansford Legal, in 2014. She works with small businesses, individuals and families on a wide variety of civil and financial cases. Ms. Hansford has an MBA from Valparaiso University and a JD from Kent College of Law. She also works with Chicago Volunteer Legal Services.

Joanna Arras / Board Treasurer

Joanna is a principal investor on Baird Capital’s Venture Capital team, focusing on technology and services investments. She earned a BS in Management and International Business from Indiana University and holds an MBA from The University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School with majors in Finance and Entrepreneurship.

Cynthia Barnard / Board Secretary

Cynthia Barnard has three decades of experience in the fields of quality improvement, patient safety, medical staff affairs, clinical research, developing healthcare information systems for operational support, and strategic planning. Currently, she is a Vice President at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where her responsibilities include patient safety, accreditation and regulatory compliance, medical ethics, and patient satisfaction measurement for the hospital. 

Patricia De Biasi

Patricia is the Director, Provider Insights, Consumer, and Provider Experience with UnitedHealthcare, Chicago. She brings a demonstrated record of healthcare-specific research and marketing experience to The Boulevard. She holds a MBA, Marketing, from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management, and a BA in Psychology from the University of Michigan.

Janet Guptill Geidel

Janet is the Executive Director of The Scottsdale Institute (, a non-profit national collaborative of leading health systems committed to sharing best practices and collaborating on IT-enabled performance improvement.  She is a senior healthcare strategist with a Masters of Health Systems Management from Tulane University of Louisiana, who enjoys introducing transformative solutions into the healthcare industry.     

Nancy Hanson 

Nancy was one of the founders of The Boulevard. She served on the original steering committee and the first Board of Directors; Chairing the Board of Directors from 1998-2002 and completing her Board term in 2004. She received a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois-Chicago and holds undergraduate degrees from the University of Iowa and the University of Charleston (W. VA). 

Stan Jaworski 

Stan is a Past President of the Boulevard (Interfaith House) Board of Directors and current Chair of the Advisory Council.  He is a Principal with the Cavanaugh Consulting Group and has been a Health Care IT Strategist for 30+ years specializing in population health management.  Stan holds an MBA in Finance from Northeastern University, Boston. 

Glenn Johnson

Glenn is a former resident of The Boulevard.  He currently serves as a Mentor and Spiritual Advisor at the Above & Beyond Family Recovery Center, and finds times to volunteer at The Boulevard three-times a week.  He holds a BS in Business Administration from Roosevelt University.  

Diana Lark 

Diana is a former resident of The Boulevard. Her employment at a hospital ended when an illness led to the loss of her job, which resulted in the loss of her home. The Boulevard was able to help stabilize her health and locate housing on Chicago's north-west side.

Paul Luning MD, MPH 

Paul is the Chief Medical Officer of  PCC Community Wellness Center, a community health center serving the West Side of Chicago. A graduate of Yale University and the University of Chicago, Dr. Luning is a practicing family physician; he helped start The Boulevard Clinic for the Homeless in 1999. He serves as the Associate Program Director for the West Suburban Family Medicine Residency Program.

Brian Saperstein

Brian is the Chief Transformation Officer at the Sammons Financial Group (SFG), a provider of life insurance and annuities throughout the United States. Brian received his MBA, with honors, from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and his undergrad degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Sarah Vetrano

Sarah is a Senior Presidential Scheduling Manager with the American Bar Association, where she provides counsel and support to the presidential officers of the ABA. She earned a B.A. from Marshall University’s W. Page Pitt School of Journalism & Mass Communications, and is also involved with the Delta Zeta Chicago Alumnae Chapter and Tree House Humane Society.  

Christy Weimer

Christy is the Managing Director, Control Officer Executive of Commercial Bank Oversight & Control for JPMorganChase in Chicago.  She has a active record of Community Service, working as a Mentor for The Fellowship Initiative, and as an Executive Sponsor of WIN, Women's Interactive Network in Chicago.  Christy holds a BS in Industrial Management from Purdue University.
