The Boulevard serves adult men and women who are both homeless and in need of continuing medical respite care. Our core program is structured to help residents complete their medical recovery, address the root causes of their homelessness and move on to stable housing.
Our challenge is that residents can’t move on until they are able to save enough money to pay the security deposit and first month’s rent on an apartment, let alone moving expenses. With income almost the same as rent, this process can take months. The goal of Destination: Home is to address this last critical step, helping people secure stable housing by providing funding to supplement the money they have saved to rebuild their lives. We hope to raise $50,000 this year to provide Boulevard residents with a real chance at a fresh start at a destination they can call Home.
